Parents who are applying for funding assistance are responsible for the $50.00 fundraising fee and the cost of shorts as these fees are not covered by your sponsorship.

Female (only) information:All of the Female Divisions are being hosted by the Victoria-Esquimalt Lacrosse Association (VELA). Registration fees will be paid directly to VELA by etransfer -velacrossetreasurer@gmail.com. The Female Division practices *may* be moved around between Victoria facilities. Any players interested in going through the evaluation process to play on A teams in divisions U13 and older will be required to pay a try out fee. This is a $40 dollar non-refundable fee that helps to covers the cost of floor time, as well as bringing in 3rd party assessors to evaluate the players.
For the association to properly plan assessments, there will be a deadline of January 1, 2026 to register for tryouts.
All players in U13, U15, and U17 who do not opt in for tryouts will have the opportunity to be assessed for B and/or C in their division if registered before the first assessment date for their age group.
All players in the U11 division will be assessed to form balanced teams if registered before the first assessment date.These assessments will be of no charge.
Information about tryouts and assessments will be shared at a later date.
If you register after assessments are complete in your division, you will not be assessed but will be placed on a team that requires players, or directly on the B or C team in the case of tiered divisions.
JDFLA will pilot having the option of teams in U7 and U9 who practice in Sooke. If registering for a Sooke team, please look for the separate program listings for these 2 divisions.
Teams who practice in Sooke will only be formed based on available coaches and players.
Home games will still be held at the JDF Box.
If there is not enough interest to form a Sooke based team, or a coach is not available, players will be given the option to transfer to a Westshore based team or be given a full refund.
Sibling discount is $25 for coed or mixed divisions only (Regular price for oldest child, $25 off for each additional child). This excludes female box players playing in the Female League.
When registering more than one child for coed or mixed divisions, please use Promo Code PLAYER2 for the 2nd oldest player, PLAYER 3 for the next oldest player, PLAYER4 for the youngest player. Please note, discounts do not apply to Female Box Lacrosse players as they will be transferred to VELA.
Jersey deposit- $200.00 (post dated cheque to be given to Team Manager before jerseys are handed out). You will receive two jerseys. You will receive your cheque back once the jerseys are returned in good condition at the end of the season. If jerseys are not returned or are damaged, your cheque will be cashed.
N.S.F. cheque handling fee of $50.00
Only one (1) request per player, requests must be noted in the comments section of the registration form in order to be considered .
Players must have a matching request from the buddy being requested.
For example:
Ben Shooter requests Sam Brickwall to be his buddy > Sam Brickwall must request Ben Shooter to be his buddy as well, in order to be considered.
All buddy requests must be received prior to team formation or by the last day of assessments, whichever comes first.
JDFLA will do their best to honour buddy requests but they are not guaranteed.
Absolutely no coaches requests will be accepted.
Every JDF Lacrosse player will need a pair of JDF team shorts. Team shorts are $28.
These shorts are part of the JDF Lacrosse Association’s uniform and will need to be purchased prior to the start of the season and worn at all league games. The option to purchase shorts will be available on the online registration page and will be handed out by team managers once teams have been set. If you are registering for Female Only Lacrosse shorts, do not purchase shorts from JDF.
Please note the shorts fit big. It is recommended to size down compared to regular clothing sizes.
Sponsorship does not cover payment of shorts. Please contact the Registrar to send payment.
The executive may implement a wait list prior to March 31 registration deadline to create even teams.
We encourage all players to register early to assist with accurate registration numbers for teams and to avoid being wait-listed.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the JDF Registrar, at registrar@jdflacrosse.com. A $50.00 admin processing fee will apply to all refunds.
